Vocational Education and Training
Paving the Way into the World of Work
Training in more than 100 recognised occupations in 12 vocational fields
The CJD supports disadvantaged young people and adults looking to enter or return to the world of work. By viewing each of these people as a whole and taking account of their specific characteristics, we ensure that they are permanently integrated into the employment market.
We provide tailored tuition for individuals with particular learning difficulties and we work with experienced psychologists, remedial teachers and other specialists to give them the support they need.
Example Profile
Tonio (20)
Tonio is happy - finally, he has a job. The 20-year-old special-needs pupil did a course at the CJD Berufsbildungswerk Frechen vocational training centre to become a housekeeping assistant. The course included a training placement in a hotel in Hürth, a small town just outside Cologne - an aspect the young man really enjoyed. His time at the CJD motivated him to take the initiative in his life. Tonio passed the course with a "merit", immediately applied for a permanent position at the hotel - and got it!
