Nurturing Strong and Weak Pupils Alike
The CJD has 46 state-recognised primary, secondary, special-needs, vocational and technical schools throughout Germany. Our work in those schools aims to nurture people and their gifts and talents.
We open up new prospects for the highly gifted as well as for dyslexics and those with learning difficulties through special educational approaches geared to their needs.
Example Profile
Melanie (12)
Three years have passed since Melanie found out that she is highly gifted. Underchallenged, she lost interest in lessons and eventually had to repeat a year. Today she attends the gifted pupils department of the CJD Jugenddorf-Christophorusschule Braunschweig. She enjoys the project-based tuition, in which she can finally use her abilities to the full. A gifted language student, she is also taking Japanese. Melanie is set to skip the next year and take her "Abitur" school-leaving examination (allowing her to go on to university) early.
